1. The average Barleygreen serving is 2 teaspoons (6 g) or
10 caplets each day. However, many people use more or
less depending on their own asessment of nutritional needs.
- Many people begin with 1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) or 2 caplets
each day and increase gradually every four to five days.
- Young children usually begin with 1/4 teaspoon or 1
caplet each day and gradually increase up to 1 teaspoon
(3 g) or 5 caplets daily. Crush the caplets if you think it is
necessary.
- Teenagers often increase their servings up to 2 teaspoons (6 g)
or 10 caplets per day.
- Athletes and people dealing with large amounts of stress
often take larger amounts - sometimes as many 6 tablespoons (54 g)
or 90 caplets a day. When taking larger amounts, it is better to take
Barleygreen three or more times per day.
2. The best results will come from placing Barleygreen dry under the tongue.
Much of it will ten be absorbed through the mucous membrane directly into
the bloodstream. However, most people enjoy their Barleygreen in
purified water or their favorite juice.
- It is NOT recommended to take Barleygreen in any
of the following: cranberry or prune juice, any carbonated drinks, or any
hot drinks. Do not take Barleygreen at the same time you take AIM Herbal
Fiberblend.
- Barleygreen delivers the maximum benefits when taken on an empty
stomach, which means 30 minutes before or two hours after a meal. However, there will
still be some benefit no matter when you take Barleygreen. (Some people
enjoy putting Barleygreen in vegetable dips, or on top of applesauce, etc.)
- It is important to drink Barleygreen immediately after mixing it in a liquid since
this activates the nutrients and they will begin to deteriorate within 30 minutes.
- Barleygreen will keep some people awake if taken too late in the day. for others,
it is the perfect nightcap for a restful sleep. You will have to do some experimenting
to see exactly how it works for you.
3. Barleygreen has a three to five year shelf life under normal conditions.
- Barleygreen should be stored in a dark, dry place at normal room temperature.
- It is not necessary to refrigerate Barleygreen. (Taking it in and out of the
refrigerator can cause condensation which will shorten the shelf life.)
- It is important not to use or store wet spoons in the jar.
- When in extreme temperatures (either hot or cold), it is bet to store Barleygreen
in an ice chest or some other protective place. (The powder is much more stable than
the juice; however, being in a closed car in Texas or an open garage in Alberta for
extended periods of time during certain seasons could result in product damage.)
